My son loved this book so much he insisted I read it, too, and I’m glad he did! Middle School’s a Drag is hilarious and each character has something magical to add to the story. For me, the most important part of the book is a message that is so important for all children and grownups! Learning to accept yourself and those around you exactly as they are is a lesson that never gets old and can’t be over taught!

The main character Michael Pruitt has big dreams and a thousand plans but is in the strange journey of adolescence. Howard has produced characters that our young readers will love meeting and will recognize as their friends. We need our young people to meet characters with depth and color like Michael, Julian, Colton, CoCo and Lyla! A wonderful picture of middle school today.
