While I did learn some really interesting things, including some fascinating bits of folklore, this book isn't really for me. Regardless, some of the stranger bits were interesting enough to secure a spot in my permanent library if only for reference and because it's quite different than some of the other books I have in this area.

I really enjoyed this book. It was such a new take on path for me, and I would honestly say that it has impacted my practice just as much as Scott Cunningham‘s Wicca: a guide for the solitary practitioner. Wicca Was the basis of my practice for many moons; however as I changed and my beliefs changed I no longer connected with that particular path. I think it is a wonderful path, a valid path, and for some people it works for the entirety of their practice. That just wasn’t the case for me, and that’s OK too. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book with information that I have never come across. This was exactly the experience I was looking for in order to reconnect with my practice. The writing is very concise, and the exercises were a great way to apply the theory covered. I really enjoyed tapping in to another side of my practice, and I also loved feeling like I’ve reconnected with myself after integrating the knowledge and practises from this book into my own practice.

Traditional Craft made accessible

An excellent, accessible, well organized, and well written introduction to Traditional Witchcraft. The exercises gradually progress the reader through making tools, preparing for ritual, and practising folkloric magic. They are also indexed separately, something I wish all books on magic and spirituality would do. (I always put mine at the end of a chapter so people can find them again, but having a separate contents page for them is excellent.)

The foreword by Gemma Gary, and the introduction by Kelden, stress the similarities between Traditional Witchcraft and Wicca rather than the differences. As a polytheist Wiccan with a strong interest in folklore and a land-based spirituality, I was grateful for this.
The section on the Devil in traditional witchcraft is excellent and explains that the Devil of folklore is not the same archetype as the Christian Satan.

This is a book written by someone who really knows what they are talking about and has clearly practised this path for a good amount of time. Top notch!

The section on engaging with the Otherworld was very good indeed. But the bit that I really loved was the section on connecting with the land — your local land wights, genii locorum, local wildlife, local geology, and so on. It echoes a lot of what I’ve been saying for years.

I love this book. It resonates with me unlike many of the other "fluffy" Wiccan or "white witch" books. If you're like me, and Wicca just doesn't quite fit you; if you feel like you are looking to connect with something older but you're not looking to go to the dark side either, this book is worth a read. To me, this book is a comfortable grey area. The author is non-judgemental, with a writing style that is fluid and straightforward. It gives insight into familiars, spirit guides, hedge crossing (travelling to the Otherworld) and other things that can be hard to find in most Witchcraft books these days. One of my favourites.

Fragrant book??

Book itself looks great, the cover is stunning, can't wait to read it!...
BUT however, the book has some STRONG HERB fragrant smell. I don't know how, or where, but since I opened the package, the smell is there, it comes from the inside of the book. Was there some accident in the warehouse, or something else(customer returned it), I don't know. My kids love the smell, but I find it little bit obnoxious since the whole room smells right now. Will contact the customer service. 🤔
