Good but beware...

I love this for what I use it for which is for our pantry. My toddler keeps opening the pantry door and I’m worried she’s going to get into the spices like dried chili and other hot spices. However I wouldn’t recommend this for your bathroom door or any room that your child could potentially lock you in from the outside. Read the other reviews.

Works well for cats too

One of my cats loves opening doors at 3am to get into the closet with treats or to lounge on the spare room bed. These work very well at keeping cats from opening doors. You can keep the top lock open and just open the door handles by lifting upwards.

I bought these for my almost 4 year old, flight risk daughter who is on the Autism spectrum. She silently opens the front door and flees the house. Visitors and sometimes her older sister forget to use the lock and at least this gives me more control. I also put one on each bathroom door because she also likes to go in there and run the water or play with toiletries lol very simple to use and came with a thoughtful letter from the seller. Really great product, thank you!

They work, but adhesive took paint off the door

This is... easy to install. Easy to use. Durable. It works. It’s also possibly not safe- I put it up to keep my kids out of the office while my husband works. He was not impressed as I locked it once and forgot he was in there- he couldn’t get out. Kind of funny, and I started only putting the bottom lever out as the kids couldn’t pull the handle up yet. He wanted it taken off, so we very very carefully removed it- and it took the white paint off with it. It was only up for about two weeks, and our doors were the standard hollow core, came painted from Home Depot a decade ago (we haven’t painted them- it was not fresh paint)

So if you want to remove these eventually and keep your door, be ready to patch and paint b

Effective, and require dexterity to overcome

I think overall they look clunky, but they do the job well enough. They require good dexterity to unlock the top and bottom arms, and they operate independently so you can leave it opening upward for example if that is an option. I'm a bit concerned with removing them when the time comes, but that is a tradeoff to the required adhesion. Either way it keeps the kid out of the places he shouldn't be so I'm happy. Docked a star for printing their name on the front of it for all to see

Half the price and still better product! You may have been tempted to buy the commonly available 'Safety First' child lock(like I did) but reading the good reviews, I got the Jolik. I am much Happy with the purchase and would totally recommend this product.

Easy to Install, Stiff Awkward Moveability

Super easy to install. Haven’t had to remove yet so not sure of that process. Kind of awkward to move pieces side to side you have to give a good push on button and pull at same time. Guess it’s good for the purpose of what it’s used for. Little hands to keep out. If your in a hurry or a guest that doesn’t know how to use it could get irritating lol.

I was using the bathroom the other day, with the door closed, and all of a sudden I heard the door handle jostle behind me and the door opened.

When I looked over my shoulder, half expecting to see a Velociraptor, I saw my daughter looking at me.

Well I've since installed 3 of these on our main floor where she spends most of her play time.
1 of the 4 didn't stick at all, but the other 3 adhered very well.

I might not have cleaned the door well enough, but it's not a big deal.
