I ordered 2 of the same item and Amazon delivered 2 DIFFERENT MODELS of the item, one was the expensive one I wanted, one was a cheaper one. I went on Amazon and was told a UPS driver would pick up the wrong item and Amazon would deliver the correct 2nd item the next day.

NO UPS PICKUP!!!!
NO AMAZON REPLACEMENT RECEIVED, I cannot even find out how to track the replacement and Amazon does not have a published support line to call so I'm left with leaving a very negitive review because Amazon does not make it easy for their customers to have AMAZON's MISTAKES CORRECTE!!!

Also, the expensive air purifier that has WiFi has BEEN IMPOSSIBLE TO SETUP THE WIFI CONNECTION!!!

The Apple App shows me Chinese characters and expects me to know how to read Mandarin or the other Chinese language. The filter is great, the app SUCKS. (Apple has 1.5 stars for the App, so I do not know why Amazon rates this so high since the WIFI DOES NOT WORK and it appears to be a Chinese knock off that they can sell on Amazon without regard to the fact that they have a DEFECTIVE APPLE APPP!!!

Great to buy if you don't need WIFI to monitor, but the cheaper one but stay away from the WIFI one because AMAZON will make it very hard to return/replace.

PREFILTER NOT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE

This unit uses a three stage filter system. The first filter, is named the pre-filter and holds the carbon second filter. Without the pre-filter, there is nothing to hold the carbon filter. In contacting the manufacturer, this part is out of stock, ships from Korea, and they have no idea when they will ever have anymore of the pre-filters. This item is not a heavy duty piece of equipment, it is a plastic frame with mesh. If you buy this device and you cannot get the pre-filter, you have an inefficient boat anchor that you wasted your money on. I will be returning my device back to Amazon, as I have lost patience with the manufacturer and their lack of support. The unit works well, but without parts, the lifecycle of this unit is limited . For the price that you’re spending, you want something that has a lengthy lifecycle that is not dependent upon no manufacturer parts support. Thank you, good luck, have a nice day.

Product stopped turning on after about three weeks operation. Customer service promised an email to repair/initiate replacement. Email didn’t come. After 5 days I called again. Agent admitted they wrote my email down incorrectly and tried again. The email did not show up to any of my addresses. The agent suggested that my internet was causing the trouble (internet was working fine). Was rushed off the phone with no recourse. Told to email the general account (info@coway.com) if I didn’t receive the email. It’s been several days now, and still no response.

I think Coway is giving me the runaround to avoid making things right within the initial 90 day warranty period. What a disappointment.

Trust the WiFi Reviews - Horrible Tech & Massive Privacy Issues

Where are the fantastic reviews coming from? Some recommend just not using the WiFi because it’s basically useless …. BUT THIS IS A WiFi Unit and we’re paying a premium for it. Other legit gripes: It’s made in China and is responsible for cleaning the air we breathe, but if they can’t even make a basic app & WiFi work, how can I trust it functions at all? Next, the app has a privacy warning from Apple, requires access to camera, home network password and more. The replacement filters are extremely overpriced and any a fan setting of two or more is fairly loud (although not all bad for anyone who loves white noise). Reviewers have been complaining about the same issues for over a year on this AP1215HHS model, and at least 3 years for other models. Coway hasn’t improved a thing … including a simple change to the unreasonable amount of personal data requested. For loads more terrible app reviews, visit your App Store and search “Io Care” by Coway. So disappointed but I’m stuck with it at this point.

Not worth the money

After having this product for only 6 months it’s no longer working. This model relies on your WiFi to give you information and do it’s job, god forbid you change anything related (password, router, etc) otherwise it becomes useless and will no longer connect no matter how many times you troubleshoot it. My other complaint is how expensive it is to change the filters. I’ve now waisted so much money on this thing for it to no longer function. It’s around $26 ish for a new pre filter and about $80 ish for the main filter (which runs out of stock often). I was hoping that spending an outrageous amount on this that I would get more than 6 months worth but I was wrong. Don’t be suckered in to buying this.

The app has been broken for a month making the expensive features I paid extra for worthless. There was an update to force an account migration and since then the app doesn’t work. Opening the app there is a popup that explaining they are having technical issues so they know it is a problem.

Wifi doesn’t work, no support

I’ve had the product for a month and despite having over 20 other smart devices working in my home without issue, this purifier simply will not connect.

Support has had me disable 5g, remove special characters from the wifi password, reboot everything (router, phone, purifier), remove and reregistering the purifier, and all to no effect.

The app’s feedback about what is going on provides no real information “something failed, try again”, and all proposed solutions seem like a shot in the dark. Terrible experience.

Initial setup of WiFi was painful and takes about 2-3 hours because of the buggy app and it only supports 2.4Ghz wifi. However after a couple of months the wifi completely stopped working and cannot connect. This shouldn't be a deal breaker, but there aren't enough controls on the device to manage the device without the app.
