Andy Weir is really good at making complex technology sound accessible and down to earth, so this feels like the perfect short story for him, blending quantum computing, which most readers probably won’t be able to wrap their heads around, with the casino industry in Las Vegas, which we’re all very familiar with. It’s a pretty simple story with complex things happening in the background, and that’s Weir’s forte.
Good but too short ! Loved Andy Weir's book The Martian and was really eager to read this one. Didn't know it was only a short story so it was a decption to me. Very interesting story based on real science so entertaining and instructive all at once. Thumbs up to Mr Weir and will read the other shorts stories of the Forward collection.
This was another great book from the Forward Collection. About a couple who tries to beat the system. Science is such a great topic. I love that Andy Were used Quantum P\Quantum entanglement in this story.
