Received as gift. I've been doing Zumba for several years - I have the old Wii/Wii U games and a lot of the DVDs. I look like an idiot doing it (which is why I do it at home and not in public where people can see me), but it's a really good workout and it's fun, so the time goes by faster than if I were just running on a treadmill or something. This game is a solid addition, with good music and a decent mix of routines, in terms of intensity, difficulty, and style. But two problems: 1) If you have no experience with Zumba, you might find this game hard to follow. I've been doing Zumba for years and I find it hard to follow at times. There's a little prompt box up in the corner that shows the next move, but it's pretty spotty - sometimes it's missing, sometime it's showing the wrong move. So odds are you're going to end up flailing around looking like a nutcase until you're memorized the routines. 2) At least one of the older games had an option to program your own class from the available routines - I wish so, so much that this game had that option. You can do single songs, so you can do a set of your choosing, but doing it that way, you lose some momentum because you have to wait for results screens (which load slowly) after each song. It would be much better if there was an option to program a class with the songs you want.
There is little instruction on how to do the moves. You're pretty much thrown into it. As a game, it's not that great. For fitness however, you'll definitely sweat trying to quickly figure out the moves. Haha.
Bought this to get extra exercise in during the winter when I couldn't go run. It definitely gives you a good, sweaty workout! 5 stars for that. Unfortunately, after about a month of almost daily use, I found the songs too repetitive. I think it has around 30 songs, but that can get old fast when you're going through 5-6 songs every day. Ultimately, great for a workout, but maybe not a daily, long term workout (unless you like repetition).
This game is cheap but very effective for excercise. It really makes you sweat from Zumba dances but it’s hard to coralate with the dances most of the time with the motion controls. But if you can’t find a cheaper game like Ring Fit Adventure which is really scarce now, I would recommend this game if you are wanting to do some exercise indoors with the switch.
