Rotating ball in wrong direction, production defect.
Reviewed in Canada on December 31, 2020
UPDATE: Jan 8, 2021. Daniel from Ring reached out to me by email today. He will check with the manufacturer directly and ensure this is not happening on a wider scale. He also gave me a $20 account credit on my Ring Protect plan for taking the time to report it.
I received the mount but the white rotating ball which attaches the mount to the camera is on the wrong side. I verified it online by watching the ring instructional video and seeing my other stick up cam installation. Rather than returning it back to Amazon I took apart the entire mount and was able to spread the grey arms to pop out the white ball and flip it to the other side. I called Ring to report the issue, thinking it might be a production line issue and other customers may experience the same problem. The customer service rep just keep repeating to return it to Amazon despite me saying it could a production line issue. Anyhow, not a big deal but disappointed that Ring wouldn't check of maybe someone on the production line is putting the ball on the wrong way.
