This is a wonderful book with a beautiful message that all children should read.

I bought this book to read with my Grandchildren. They loved that it rhymed, was easy to read and that it had such colourful illustrations. It opened the door to conversations about how they see themselves and how they see others, who they know who is different from them and how they can show kindness to others.
It's OK to be Different reminds us that we are each unique in our own special way. Whether it's the way we look, act or sound to the different interests we may have.
I would highly recommend this book !

This book was...OK. I wouldn't heap the glowing praise other reviews are mentioning. The message 'It's ok to be different' is a good conceit but is pretty heavy handedly driven in every other page, and the art style is fairly jarring. I keep coming back to one line in the book 'Some kids have light skin and light hair, and some kids have dark skin and dark hair' it definitely paints people with a very broad paintbrush. Would I have bought this book if I had read it first, no

This is a great book for not only for those with disabilities, but for their friends and their peers. The book, as the name suggests, teaches kids that it's okay to be different and that everyone is different in their own way! Great way to get kids to start learning about inclusion and acceptance from a young age at a time where teasing is common, often because they just don't understand differences. The rhymes are catchy and engage the audience, and the illustrations are colourful and help guide the story. A great book, I highly recommend it for all households and classrooms!
