R. C. Sproul is always good. To read him, you might at first think he's overly simple, but the pleasant surprise is that he takes difficult material and explains it clearly. The chapters are a reasonable length and subdiveded, so youwon't get overwhelmed or worn out reading about some very difficult material. I've read a number of commentaries on Romans. While this won't replace the best of them, it will sit on my shelf next to them. Buy it. Study it carefully.
There is lots in Romans, RC Sproul does a great job of going through the text verse by verse and explaining it in a expositional manner. I've always kind of avoided studying Paul's letters, Sproul's commentary on Romans makes it very accessible and a starting point for future exploration. I look forward to reading more of Sproul's work.
R.C. Sproul is missed within the reformed circles. Such a great teacher of the word who expounds the nuances of God's beautiful Word and the work of the Holy Spirit. I recommend this book to any student of Scripture who wants do deepen their understanding of the Gospel.
I felt this book has many important concepts that every Christian student should study. The author presents his explanations based completely on the holy scripture. This wisdom is food to feed your soul and spirit.
I love how easy it is to read. He does a great job at breaking down complex doctrines into simple language. You may or may not agree with him, but you will have a good understanding of why he believes what he believes.
