Top critical review
Ok, not great

I was looking for a replacement to my Hoya slimline 77mm C-Pol filter. (It took a pebble for me) Wasn't really looking to spend a ton of money. Just wanted something that could easily be cleaned, and a proper slim metal ring.
So far so good.
Does it do what the example pictures claim? Sort of. Most C-Pol's will do that. I was just intrigued by the punchiness of the blue from this particular filter.
So, why only three stars?
One, it is extremely tight to rotate to alter the polarization. Like, take off your gloves in winter conditions tight.
Two, all other C-Pol's I've used, tend to have a marking point on the ring to indicate the maximum polarized effect. Granted, you can see the effect by looking through the viewfinder. However, in some cases, you need the extra confirmation. Sadly, this filter does NOT have the indicator. I will do further tests, and apply my gold Sharpie to the ring.
Three, and now for a nit picky thing. The cardboard package is beautiful. The hard inner plastic case is solid. The issue? You need to use a coin, a key, small blade, to pry it open. Great to keep it safe, a nuisance to open up. The case has no markings to indicate what it is. So, my trusty gold Sharpie took care of that!
Good value? Yes, I think so. Just wish it took care of my first two concerns. Would I recommend it? Yes. It is a great price. Does it match the quality of the ProMaster HGX C-Pol? NO. Better than my Hoya? Absolutely.
Finally, of all the accessories one should have for shooting, a C-Pol is either number one, or number two in absolute must haves. (Protection filter doesn't count, as you HAVE to have that for each lens) A remote or a cable release would be the other item in the top two. If you are on a tight budget, grab one of these. If you have multiple filter threads, buy a filter for your largest thread, and then get some step up rings to match. (Three lenses I use are 67mm, and my wide stuff is 77. So a 67-77 step up ring, does the trick)
Good value, does the trick, get out there and shoot!
