Good size for my needs. Have a verilux, that has a timer, different hues and intensities which this does not. Also the power button/dimmer is not sensitive enough to control with the light while on the stand. Not a deal breaker.

Says there's 3 settings but it's only on, kinda dim and bright. Wish I knew it was only these 3 settings because I would have purchased a different one.

This actually surprised me! I found out that I have "sundowner", where I get really down and really tired around sundown. I've been using this light for a week, and wow, I've noticed a difference already in my afternoons! I don't get the same afternoon tiredness, and I've been sleeping better at night already!
I will report back after a month of using it. Its small, portable and has two settings.
So far great little investment!

I put this light on top of a box behind my laptop in my basement home office so that it shines directly into my eyes as I work without looking directly at the light. Total game changer for seasonal depression and that general "working in a basement" malaise. Such a simple inexpensive solution. Thrilled with my purchase! Note to self - plugging the USB into the empty slot on the monitor means the monitor has to be on for the light to work!!
Update. It is now the end of January. This little light has completely changed my life this winter through the darkness. Truly a life saver. Every day I turn this light on when I boot up in the morning and turn it off at lunchtime. I can't recommend this light enough. It shouldn't be the only illumination in a room - seriously how happy is that??

I thought it would be hard, but follow the instructions, and they will put you at ease! I've used it 3 days in a row now, and I actually think it had a positive effect on me! Also, it is so easy to assemble, and then putting it away is just like putting a book away! Nice, sleek and light weight! Comes ready to use! And no, it's not too hard on the eyes. It instructs to sit as close as 6 inches from it, and it's most effective if you can take it right into your eyes... Again, not as uncomfortable as it sounds!
