Had worked well in a stationary setting a number of months.

However it seems to be fragile when I had taken it with me to speak at a conference and it stopped working after the lightest snag against the edge of the desk. This is of course one of the risks to having such a short adapter.

Better to use a dedicated cable that has factory HDMI and DVI ends for aimicty and reliability. I should have just spent a few more dollars to get that cable instead of this thing.

Poor quality, connector fell apart the first time I tried to disconnect it. Save yourself and just order a cable instead with one end display port and hdmi on the other.

After the cable worked for several days, it is now totally "unusable". At first, my monitor became intermittent but I managed to make it work; up until yesterday when my screen totally went black. I brought it to my place of work where I switched it out with the current one I am using but it still did not work. So at this point, I am absolutely sure, the cable is the problem. It is no good. I am returning it and asking for a refund.

I bought this as an adapter for my pc. I needed it to get my HDMI to act as a displayport. Instead, all it really did was give really bad signal for two days and then it fried one of my ports and itself with it. I recommend not buying this and instead buy a cable that has HDMI on one side and displayport on the other. Don't waste your money on this.

This product worked once, I plugged it in a used it the first day and LEFT it plugged in without touching anything. The next day I go to use it and it doesn't work, no signal. I take it out of my computer only to hear that it is rattling. The product broke by itself overnight it seems, I have numerous cables and adapters for my desktop and nothing has ever broken like this, I am always very careful with the computer parts that I order, so this thing breaking overnight is a manufacturing issue. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, buy something else just in case.
