The story of Buck, in full for the first time...

There has been a lot of negative critics about this movie because the 20th Century decided to use CGI for the animals. But when I looked at the movie I really understood why they made that choice. It is impossible to conceive mistreating animals that much in order to create a story – because there is few sequences were you can see dogs suffering – or to get wild animals reacting exactly as you need and when you need it. It was impossible doing such a movie without CGI. So the negative critics were simply based on stupidity and lack of consciousness and professionalism. The movie is wonderfully done if you consider the challenge, and if you are also looking at the making of the movie in the special features, it’s really easy to grasp the full idea of it. To finish this part, like I already said in previous comments about family movies, this genre is hardly make it in theaters since the end of the 90s and to top it all, this one got out in February 2020, the time of the coronavirus peak in North America.
This said, let’s talk about the movie itself. They could not chose better actor than Harrison Ford for this one, he was made for this movie, he is perfect. All is simply beautiful. It caries so much deep values about animals, wildlife, humans, friendship, respect, courage, bravery and true love that it is truly amazing. But what I liked the most, although you can clearly see the both, was that they chose to tell the story through the eyes of the dogs instead than through the eyes of the humans. The image is incredibly stunning, it’s even reminding us of the existence of the second biggest natural wild reserve of the world, our Canadian Wood Buffalo Park. For me, it is one of the most wonderful movie made for the family for a very long time. It’s new, for a lot of people had forgotten that classic, it is refreshing after all those super hero movie best sellers, it is the only one of all that has been made so far that could show the entire story of Buck without the dramatisation of his life which make it a better presentation for the youngest.
I do recommend this movie and all the reasons mentioned previously, I’m giving it a 5 stars.
