A honest looking at reconnecting with kids

An honest and genuine look at our school systems, the kids in them, and their surrounding supports. It's a wonderful approach to understanding on reconnecting to understand kids, educators, and everyone inbetween. Dr Jodys personality comes through her writing so it is most certainly anything but a dry read.

This book is meant for teachers and people in the school system. I’m not a teacher. I am a father of two daughters. A husband of an amazing wife. This book has helped me understand how to be a better father and husband in so many ways. If you want to become a better human being you need to read this book.

So real!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE JODY!!! She admits her imperfections and shares how she learned some things the hard way but teaches us that we are “wired to do hard things” and how to walk each other home” You won’t e disappointed!

I love that Jodi herself reads the book! I heard her speak at a conference and she was funny, interesting and made sense!! All educators should read or listen to book.... more than once!!

I really needed to read this! After 25 years teaching, this book contained the inspiring words I needed to rekindle the fire that has gone dim over the past 5 years. So appreciated this read!

I absolutely loved this book! Dr. Jody Carrington is great at speaking your language and staying REAL. I am not an educator, but as a parent I took some things away from this book and have been trying them with my children. I recommend this 100%!!

Dr. Jody writes as if she is speaking to you. This book is more about the adults and how they can help themselves so that they can help others! While the book is written primarily in mind for those that are teaching and leading our children. It is an amazing resource and tool for those that are "simply" raising and loving a child. With wonderful writing style and no crazy medical jargon to filter, she provides insight, love and hope to her audience in her words.
