As a barber, it's often difficult to find affordable wireless hair trimmers that look professional and cuts precisely. Before purchasing this hair trimmer, I used my BaByliss Pro metal trimmer and Andis 66325. Both trimmers cost about $200+ each, but the latter is wired. My BaByliss Pro lasts about three sessions, so on busy days, I have to rotate the two, which is very inconvenient. As a result, I went on Amazon to look for wireless hair trimmers that can perform just as well.
The Ceenwes hair trimmer looks very similar to the BaByliss Pro and performs likewise. In terms of ergonomics, the Ceenwes feels more comfortable over longer sessions because of its ergonomic design and feels easier to maneuver around sensitive parts such as ears. Both trimmers are relatively heavy given their construction, however, it shouldn't be a problem for most people.
For $40, the metal taper lever is a huge selling point. Many clippers around this price point do not have taper control, so for this reason alone, these trimmers should be taken seriously. Moreover, the stainless steel base and blade are, as mentioned earlier, heavy but match well with $200 trimmers such as the BaByliss Pro in terms of performance (very sharp and good for fades).
Now, these seem like the perfect trimmers, right? However, at the price, there were clearly shortcuts taken to make these affordable. First, the blades get warm very quickly. So, if you're an amateur practicing how to give fades, you're going to probably want to get the base down before these start to get really warm. If you know what you're doing, this shouldn't be an issue.
Moreover, an issue with wireless trimmers in general: The battery life. From 99%, one session finished with a battery life of 65%. So, I would say that these last for three sessions like the BaByliss Pro. This is very good given the price difference ($200+ vs. $40). Still, I wish it were longer.
Overall, these are the perfect affordable wireless hair trimmers. Seriously. If you managed to read through the entirety of this review, you should probably purchase these now.
