Worked perfect. I had a tile countertop that I sanded with a diamond cup grinding wheel then leveled with multi-purpose Bondo. Once it had dried and been sanded I painted 2-3 coats of this and allowed to dry overnight before pouring epoxy over it the following day. It dried quickly.
This product simply is same latex primer white .After apply the paint the texture of the roller stay on the paint and did not go away ,so reflect the same thing in to the epoxy resin and is give me un even surface .For other counter I use appliance primer white thinner product and self level by itself without any extra work ,which gave me mirror shiny coat surface and after applying epoxy look smooth flat mirror .
I had bought this two months ago and had read most of the reviews and was a but hesitant but being a newbie at epoxy was wanting to go by the book with their recommendation for a primer. I did not open it or use it for 2 months as I had to wait for the right conditions as far as temperature outside in my area as I am doing sample boards at first in my garage. When I opened it, it was dried up like rubber. It had a good seal prior to opening it, so my question is was it super old? Or a bad batch? I missed the window of 30 days as that is all Amazon allows so I am out the money for it. I also ordered it in the white 30 days later (also that window just lapsed) but luckily the white is perfect. From here on out tho, I am will be getting fresh primer paint right from Sherman Williams or a good quality paint at a big box store.
Just like other buyers it was solid when I opened the can. You would think the company would do something to correct this problem. I emailed them last night and will see if I get a response. The last problem I had they never responded
Product Showed up with paint showing it had leakedsmall amount from lid.. not a lot so didn’t worry about it.. then when I opened it up to use it was the same issue most people seem to have.. chunky only half the can was liquid the whole bottom half was solid with chunks on top.. completely unusable. And of corse I’m past return date. But worse part I was in process to finish a customer countertop when I found the problem. I would not buy from here .. order strait from stone coat hopefully have better luck.. or just buy paint and primer from local hardware store. Better prices and guarantee!
This was terrible! It came crackled and dry it looked like chipped paint. I had to wait for the epoxy to arrive; therefore, I missed my return date and could not return it. It is useless and now I can’t return it to get my money back.
