Ordered Two & Both Had Issues

I ordered 2 of these. They aren’t cheap. The first one I set up and the light worked, but the camera didn’t. Had to return. The second one, both the camera and lights worked after setting it up. It’s been two days since I set up and it isn’t detecting motion or recording video. Looks like I’ll be sending another one back. Usually I don’t get too concerned with a product that doesn’t work, as maybe it was just bad luck, but two for two having problems is kind of worrisome. On a separate note, I didn’t do my full research and assumed that there would be the option for these to record 24/7 -like normal security cameras. That’s what I get with my Nest cameras. I was disappointed to learn that these don’t constantly record, they only record when activated by motion…and if the motion detection doesn’t work perfectly all the time you have no idea if you are missing something or not (at least with 24/7 recording you can tell what you missed). There is no extra paid subscription that will allow for constant recording. This was more my mistake for not researching property, but Ring does a pretty good job of not making it obvious. But the quality control issues are on fully Ring, and I went from being pretty excited about using Ring to having almost zero confidence in the product in less than a week.
