Erm I'm not a huge fan of the wick trilogy "YES its wide open for a 4th instalment" the 1st was incredibly lame in my opinion, the 2nd seemed to have picked up a little bit (I've only seen it in recent weeks 5.11.2020) this film No.3 well its got abit more fight scenes, however!!!!! the gun fighting is again pretty lame in the sense of being incredibly unrealistic, along with injuries sustained... along with car/bike chase sense being again incredibly lame in the sense of incredibly unrealistic & oddly you have highly regarded killers chasing wick & they become child-like/noobies once on/in a vehicle. This is also reflected in fight scenes if hunter hitmen groups are after anyone 'but' wick their highly efficient killers.. almost ninja in stealth however the second wick is present this seems to vanish...
now wicks hand to hand fighting... well Halle Berry I'm sorry her character is pointless clearly she'll have a larger part in part-4 (my god plz no!") her fighting is clearly poorly carried out, you can see her pulling punch/kicks along with the use of guns again been incredibly poor.. the best aspect of halle berry's character "her dogs!" Wicks fighting again you can clearly see on multiple scenes he's pulling & holding back, along with the infamous getting beaten to a pulp & yet oddly regains energy 'from no-where' to suddenly over-power his opponent/s
YES theirs some twists & turns in regards to wicks origin... surely we'll see a origin film in some years to come "as its not what you think it is!!!" I'm not sure where this hype has came from surrounding wick, due to the clear issues mentioned above... other films don't share such faults
so I'm on the wall as to making claims its a truly great film as, its not...
do it pass your time, yes is it enjoyable, yes.. to a point the acting need more work, along with the fight scenes, along with the gun work.. I've not mentioned how some shots are taken inches from the face where A: you'd damage your hearing badly & potentially cause yourself more harm then not..
the films abit of fun, CGI is clear in some area's.. some fight scenes are comical
I like this series and I like Keanu Reeves but, I'll be honest, there's only so many times Wick can stand in front of 3, 4 or 10 men and they square off and you wonder what inventive deaths they'll come up with as he walks away 10 minutes later - yes, the choreography is marvellous and yes the actors are very good but...
The first is brilliant, the second takes the story in a fresh direction, this feels like a run of set-pieces held together with flimsy story.
6/10 for me. Not as good as the first or second instalment story wise, and there are silly moments in it, BUT......I can't deny I enjoyed it. Non stop action and fight scenes galore! The 4k picture was excellent and the Dolby True HD sound does all the fighting, gun shots and action scenes excellent justice. I loved the first one, liked the second one and this keeps the ride going. I would say it felt more like a filler on the story front, but for some reason I didn't mind. If you are looking for great story lines, realism and acting, these aren't the films for you.
I really enjoyed John Wick, story and filming excellent, I also enjoyed John Wick 2, story not quite as good but action scenes matching the first film, now, John Wick 3, I couldn't wait for this film to finish, ridiculous story which was very dull, in my opinion, action scenes looked so mechanical, looked very amateurism when compared to the previous two, also fight scenes seemed very repetitive, lost count how many times he was thrown through a glass panel, can't remember another film when I was this disappointed, not even Rambo part 3, and it was left so you know they are going to make another sequel.
I love the john wick films so I was keen to watch this so I pre ordered sat down on Saturday night to watch and was disappointed, it was end to end of just fighting no story or plot really I was falling asleep, it was like the third book of a book deal and they run out of ideas or the director's thought ok the game is good and just used a game play as the film, so if you like great fighting your love it but if you like the films its not worth watching,
Love this movie. Since last time John had an hour to run for his life, but what is that hour going to cost his friends?
Huge body count, action from starts to finish. Awsome fight choreography. Leading to a showdown that will change the shape of the underworld.
"He might be getting older, but he is still John Wick"
This is a full throttle action movie from start to finish. The only surprising thing for me is the movies in this franchise keep getting better and better. I thought part 2 was a good as it was going to get. This is even better.
The John Wick universe has been very cleverly imagined and created and Mr Reeves fits in so well in it I love it.
There is more action in this then in the previous films but I liked the previous two because of the story arc. In this one you get a senses of John Wick backstory but with such a strong character you need to also have an equally strong story though this version is probably lying the foundations for number 4.
I hope John Wick 4 has him and the other New Yorkers take down the high table as they are getting tooo big for their own table.
What a total waste of time. More ammo expended than was used in the Vietnam war does not make for a great movie. After the fiftieth head count with little dialogue, I realised I was really watching a 14 year old gamer nerd's playback of their highest scoring shooter game, solely contrived to impress their friends, rather than a film with any sense of a plot. Boring, souless and repetitive.
For a mere mortal such as me, I felt this suffered from having been ‘padded out’ to make it as long as it is. What was all that stuff out in the desert?! (Reminded me of the Bond film, ‘Die Another Day’, with all the non-chase on the ice and parachuting off a waterfall!) Anyway, all was made better when Keanu momentarily slipped into Matrix-mode with his, “Guns. Lots of guns!” line. An okay film, but the second outing, for me, at least, was better.
I do like the first two movies in the series even though part 2 does get increasingly absurd. Unfortunately movie 3 is absolutely dreadful. There's no story as its simply a series of ludicrous and badly choreographed fights. There are literally hundreds of assassin's within a tiny radius. I somehow managed to watch 30 minutes but couldn't take any more of this utter and total garbage. Sadly this purchase was a complete waste of money for myself.
