This picture book is for babies and toddlers (although I'm an adult and I enjoyed it). The cell and its parts are the focus of this book. Highly recommended for the young ones.

Cell Biology for Babies by Dr.Haitham Ahmed is a gem! It is written in a format similar to other children's books with large drawings in color and turns a complex topic into one that is digestible, even by a toddler. I have read this book to my 4 year old son several times, because he has ASKED for it over and over. Today, he said "Hey dad, can you read me that book about the "Sal" (Cell) that tells you about your body parts that allow you to run and hear and see?!" He also likes the colors and fact that he has to point to the different parts of the cell all while (secretly) learning biology. I congratulate Dr. Ahmed on filling an unmet need in the world of young children' books and education! I, and I'm sure my son, look forward to more books by him!

It is a little too soon for me to say he understands or is remembering anything science based, since my son is only 9 months, but it is still fun bonding time while reading it.
Although he won't sit through a whole reading yet he loves the colors, pictures, and turning the pages back and forth. I also just enjoy reading this book to help him hear more words and sounds even if itll be years before he understands 😂.

Such a cute way to introduce biology to babies and toddlers. My 18 month old seems intrigued and I love it. Durable and not super wordy. Honestly, it should say Cell Biology for Babies and Toddlers. Sorry for the blurry photos. I have a bad camera but it is as pictured online. Very happy I got this for my daughters book collection.:)

Written by a physician, Cell Biology For Babies, is a cute board book that teaches children the essential components of a cell, along with their function. Perfect for your budding scientist! I thought the constant use of the same picture of the cell, but with different colors highlighting the organelle being discussed at that time, was a great way to illustrate the way the cell is organized. It took me back to Biology class!
