5.0 out of 5 starsRight Boots for a Warehouse (General Laborer)!
Reviewed in Canada on April 2, 2022
These Timberlands are TRULY GREAT (Anti-Fatigue) boots for a warehouse worker who walks upwards of 20 km per 11+ hour shift; while constantly lifting up to 45 lbs for half your shift! These boots are very durable, and provide great toe protection. I tried three other pairs of boots (Irish Setter, NAT's, Workload), but none of them came close to providing a comfortable environment for my feet:
-Irish Setter Men's Framington Construction Shoe had a the best wide-toe feel, however, they were not right for a 11 hour shift. My feet were dead after 2 hours - even with 3 high-priced insoles!
-NAT'S S620 were good, but they don't come in a size 14+.
IMPORTANT ADVICE (for Timberlands boots):
I recommend buying two (2) additional insoles with these boots:
- Protalus M100 Max Series insoles ($120)
AND
- Protalus M75 Max Series insoles ($60).
Tip: Put the larger insole at the bottom; then place the "right" (smaller) insole on top of the "left" larger insole, and vice versa for the right ankle support.
In my opinion the "EasyFeet" brand was nowhere near as strong, or supportive. I felt it was not right for a warehouse environment.
In order to prevent an extremely tight / uncomfortable fit (unnecessary return of a great product) you WILL NEED to buy Timberlands that measure two-to-three sizes larger than your actual foot size so both insoles fit - e.g., if you are a size 12 then buy at LEAST a size 14 or preferably 15 (longest, and widest fit possible).
Also, I wear "Darn Tough Tactical Over The Calf Extra Cushion" XL socks ($45, but definitely worth it) with these (other socks caused sweating / blister problems.
Lastly, I feel the Johnson & Johnson brand "Band Aid" (blue box with brown bandages) are extremely necessary as well. You might go through two entire boxes per week ($6 per box) if you are working 40 hours per week.
Optional / personal preference:
"Extra Strength Gold Bond Medicated Powder" will keep your feet "air conditioned" during a 11 - 12 hour shift at a warehouse. Wear a Covid mask, or hold your breadth when removing your socks afterwards in order prevent inhaling the powder. I think it caused me a bit of a bronchial irritation / cough after a few days.

Please make these in an EXTRA-EXTRA WIDE (XX-Wide) Size if possible. I would like to re-purchase these when my current pair wear off. I've had my current pair for > 6 months, and I could easily go another 6 months to a year before needing a replacement. Thanks!
