what a beautiful slow burning love affair that has you gripped from the start to the end. I loved the way this book flowed.
Will and Amelia have known each others since they were children, even though Will was ten years older than her, but when they meet when she has graduated to Yale, and he sees her as the young woman she has become, everything changes.
Will and Amelia secretly fall in love and are happy, until Lex her father finds out and sends will away, what will happen next, I cant wait to find out in the next book.
An excellent beginning from a duet, this story had me sucked in and hooked from really early on. I love, love, loved the chemistry and more between Will and Millie. The sparks, banter and tension were perfect for me. An age-gap secret romance that was bound to end in disaster, pain and on a cliffhanger... I cannot wait to read the concluding book.
I thought The Trouble With Love was an engaging, entertaining and absorbing page-turner. A perfect summer read.
Just WoW! Love this book. After The Dark Love Series I could not get into any book until this one, and I have read a few until The Trouble With Love came out. Beautiful story, beautifully written. Looking forward to reading the next book. ❤️❤️❤️
I've had The Trouble With Love on my TBR list for a while, putting it off since I knew it would be the beginning of an emotional ride (and not quite ready for it) but now I'm kicking myself I didn't start sooner. This book is definitely Kat's best work yet (and I have read them all). I love the idea of seeing the journey of the next generation with Will and Amelia with the added bonus of continuing Lex and Charlotte's story. As a reader, the turmoil felt by Will and Amelia is easily felt through fantastic writing; heart wrenching emotions that they're being confronted by. I particularly liked that Amelia, although only 19, rarely came across as immature which often happens with this age group. Cliffhangers usually annoy me but this one just got me excited for more and knowing I'm in for all the emotions isn't putting me off this time. Bring on number 2!
I have read the whole series and loved it. So wonderful to now read of the next generation as adults. Whoa, read this book in one sit. Left you wanting the finish. It is history repeating itself. Amelia's father Lex, did not learn the lesson from his young years and the mistakes he made. He has implemented his rules with extreme boundaries for her protection from Will, who she has known all her life and her mother treats as her own son, the boy who has filled her heart after loosing her son. Lex thinks this is best. Never works. This never gives a person freedom with trust for life and living. Can't wait to read how the "wars" between father, mother, daughter and the man she truly loves end. Can't wait for the follow on, come on Mat 2021.
