3.0 out of 5 starsExactly as Advertised but.....

First off, I'm not displeased with the purchase. the item arrived exactly as described, installation was easy & although I've owned it for less than a week the build quality and thus durability seem top notch.
The reason for the three-star review is more one of expectations. I had watched several reviews prior to the purchase and so was a little disappointed when the strap itself failed to live up to the 'hype'.
I had been using the original 'soft strap' with the addition of a head strap pad which I had originally purchased for my Quest 1. This worked well but as I planned on using the device for more Fitness based apps, I was worried it would not provide the security of fit I would need with more erratic movements.
Where I was disappointed was first the weight, and with it the overall comfort. The strap is much heavier than I expected and despite claims it is 'better balanced', it is still very front heavy. The adjustments are limited & I'm still trying to find the correct options, so it doesn't exert uncomfortable pressure when worn. Currently anything beyond an hour and it becomes painful. You either crush the bridge of the nose or the back of the head, loosening only makes the whole unit feel insecure wanting to ride-up in the back with the headset itself falling downwards off your face. Lastly, and having never used a Halo Type strap before, this may be the norm. There is noticeable light leakage around the nose and lower face.
Again, I'm not faulting the unit. It was inexpensive and does work. However, one should be aware of its limitations. Ironically, maybe if there was more weight in the back it would actually sit better. I will not return the unit, but I have switched back to the Strap/Pad combo I was using before. As with everything your experience may vary, but I hope you find this helpful.
