Raising a toddler with no screen time can sometimes feel overwhelming but this book offers a wide variety of activities to keep the littles occupied for hours on end!!! Really recommend it to all new parents!!!
I'm just learning about montessori and wanted to use some of the practices with my niece who stays with me every other weekend. I found this book challenging to utilize because I didn't have the materials for many of the activities. I don't have feeling cards or play scarves. I felt like almost every page I turned to involved materials that I didn't have. I think it's probably a good book if you're already into montessori and will have the appropriate materials.
I bought this as my in case of emergency, rainy day, what do we do?! activity book. It arrived damaged in one of those bubble mailers so I requested a return immediately, but I did flip through it and I was unimpressed.
Obviously I'm on Instagram, and the ideas are endless, even if wildly impractical at times. I was just so underwhelmed by this that I didn't re-order it. Maybe 10 or 20 years ago this would make more sense, but I don't think any of the ideas are creative enough, or take that much time.
I bought this book to get my toddler involved in more meaningful play. She loves the little activities this book offers. Any materials you may need, you can get cheaply of your don't already have them. Very good resource and explanation of the Montessori method
I would not recommend buying this. There are hardly any unique ideas in here at all. Like one activity says to go outside and play with the leaves. It is accurate Montessori but didn’t really have a whole lot to it. Most of it was things people are already doing with their kids.
