It removes all dead skin in a very safe manner without causing any scratches or bleeding. The filing side removes every spike of the skin and makes the heel and skin extremely soft like baby. I use it after each bath and does wonders to my heels!

Glass files are much more effective

I've tried many different tools for my feet and this one was a disappointment. I liked the idea of this product that what you were shaving off was going into a container, but that's the only redeeming quality of this tool. I found the surface really ineffective for removing skin, while also leaving the skin rougher than when I started. I had to use my glass file to smooth out the roughness this tool left behind. As well, upon removing the back, there was only a tiny amount of debris.

The value for what you get here is very good- most files like this are usually in the $20 range. The cheese grater side will shave off layers of thick callous, but use easy to control, and doesn’t seem to ‘grab’ soft skin so I don’t know if you even CAN go too deep with this. Using after showering when your feet are nice and soft gets the most efficient use. The file side is a nice coarse grit file that sort of polishes the last of the callous into a nice soft surface, taking away any lines or marks left by the cheese grater. The head does gather a lot of the dead skin bits that are produced to contain a lot of the mess but it does still drop some while you’re using it so using over a garbage can or in the shower/tub is a good idea. I did have the grater pop out of the handle and make a huge mess spilling the skin shavings during one of my uses, but this is avoidable if you’re paying attention to what you’re doing.

I'm so pleased with this easy-to-use callus remover. Although I enjoy going out and getting my toes done I still give myself pedicures in between appointments to keep everything fresh. This is an excellent tool that is effective at removing calluses.

This has two sides- a stone and a grater-style file. I would recommend using the grate side with caution. It is excellent but sharp, so you don't need a heavy hand or a lot of pressure. The first time that you use this I would recommend light, gentle strokes for most effective results.

This is a reasonably priced foot file that is easy to clean and works well. I can definitely recommend this.

This foot file is a beast. It is very effective at easily cutting through calloused skin. In fact, you need to use it with some care as it could easily cut through faster than you might expect, resulting in injury. With that said a little care and patience will serve you very well here. There is a secondary blade on the back side for finer shaving that comes in very handy when you want to be less aggressive in the shaving. Performance in or out of the water, has been equally impressive.

It is very easy to clean, comes with a small skin catching reservoir which helps to reduce some of the potential mess. It is not perfect but it does help. There is also a very convenient storage pouch for the file that makes it safer and cleaner to store or carry.

It has proven itself to be the best file that we have ever had the privilege of using to date.

I'm not a big fan of pedicures but perhaps I should be considering what they have to do, however using this is WAY better and easier than the 40-grit sandpaper I glued to a paint stick (yep that works awesome to).
This is a cheese grater rasp on one side that you can easily remove to clean it out and the other side that is where the magic mojo happens!
The other side is unreal, side 1, rasp side for removing all the dead skin, side 2, magic side is where your feet come to life.
My heels (that's the only area of my feet that are bad) feel and look pretty darn good if I do say so myself, my partners feet, well she needs this way more than I do so I'll update you all once we take care of her alligator feet.
This rasp device is built pretty well and I think I found the one thing that will last a very long time.

Shaves down rather quickly and I can definitely appreciate the hollowed space inside which acts as a retainer to catch some of the shaven skin. I like to run through my callus dry, and after breaching the exterior, soaking my feet a bit for an even deeper finish. Be careful, it can shave down fairly quick given enough pressure. You can easily slice your underlaying soft skin, and so once you get to a certain point, sloooow it down a bit.

I would also recommend opening up a garbage bag underneath to catch all the shaven particles, believe me it adds up and leaves footprints if you're not careful.... And be hygienic yea?

Price point is reasonable, however a seller coupon - virtually any amount - would definitely gives this product a "sharp" competitive edge. Did you notice the pun?

I have never used a foot file like this before and I was pretty impressed. I used this on wet feet while I was in the shower. It was easy to use, it did not hurt or tickle at all.

The design reminds me of more of a zester/grater then a file.

I posted the video not to gross you out but to show you how to pop the front off for cleaning. Its a tad tricky to pop off but once you get it open, cleaning it is as simple as rinsing it with water.

At time I received this it was $14.99, I think that is a good price point for a product I am going to use often.

I would recommend this product.

The Good Parts

- Has two sides, a "cheese grater" side and an a rasp side
- I thought the rasp side would be not that useful, but for getting rid of really hard skin, it is way more effective than the cheese grater side. I usually start with the rasp and finish with the cheese grater side.
- The cheese grater side has a collection reservoir
- Easy to clean by rinsing with water
- Comes with a case
- Good construction and quality for the price

Hit or Miss

- Would have liked the collection reservoir to be larger, but it is a very minor quibble

This is a quality double sided foot file with a sturdy plastic handle and double sided metal paddle style files. One side is grated and very sharp and the other is textured and dull for polishing. It is easy to clean and disinfect and comes with a cloth storage bag. Please exercise caution when using the sharp side, it is easy to cut yourself or take down too much callous with a file this sharp. When used correctly it will help you remove unwanted dead skin quickly and efficiently. This is an excellent easy to use foot care implement which is well balanced and well made.
