Good drive, but noisy

These drives are loud. Decent price/size/performance ratio. But you'll know when data is being written to it. I have 3 of them to replace old Seagate 3TB drives, which I never heard spinning up/seeking. I can't find a tool on Toshiba's website to adjust acoustic levels, or they make it incredibly hard to find.

I plugged it in 3 computers also tries with usb converter and it only makes sound and i know its on but nothing hapens at all.

Compre este tambien y otro WD. De nada sirve que sea un poco rapido si cada vez que se hiberna o duerme la maquina porque te ausentaste unos minutos del equipo el disco se apague y tengas que reiniciar el equipo y hasta perder tus archivos ya que no lo ve el sistema operativo. Hay incluso muchos foros web donde aluden a este problema con discos toshiba. No es el cable sata, ni el puerto, ni los drivers, ni el bios, ni el motherboard, es toshiba. Nada como DW y Seagate, veré si puedo hacer efectiva la garantía, que lata.

Hard drive keeps ghosting

Everything was fine however after a week of usage, I can reconfirm with other reviews on Amazon that this hard drive mysteriously disappears after a hard boot and reappears after restarting the computer. It is an annoying thing to do I have to do with this HD everyday and I am looking forward to buying another HD that's not Toshiba.
