Used this product for light therapy and it worked as I had it during the winter months as this year was the darkest recorded year yet for cloudiness. I would put this on in the morning while i would slowly get myself awake only for the recommended short time. I found it helped and I was able to sleep easier at night. Sometimes I would use it as a light behind my webcam for meetings.

I like this lamp. It is small and fits nicely into a room without ruining the decor as it is white and simple looking. It has good brightness and I love having it on while I get ready or study. The only thing is I wish it had a timing function so I could have it turn on right as I wake up. Instead I would recommend getting the Phillips sun alarm clock, as it is a similar product but with the added feature of helping you get out of bed!

Not a 10000 lux but close

The information that comes with this lamp says "9000 lux @10 cm". That means that your face needs to be 10 cm in front of the lamp to get 10000 lux. That's dangerously close. If you want to do a serious therapy, it's not the lamp for you.

In my case, I've been using it every morning this week from a length of 30 cm because I'm having a hard time in winter to be really awake before 9 am. It seems to work. I'm quickly focus and talkative after a half our of light therapy.

I use this lamp to provide lighting during winter. It gave me a good couple of hours of good light as the sun. I usually also use it to give light therapy to my plants. My plants are happy too!

The on/off button is too sensitive, but overall, love this thing.

Picked it up because I live in an aparment that is surprisingly dark most of the time even though I'm above ground. I have some SAD, and am on medication for depression, but i still have issues with apathy. I have been using this device for the past week and honestly, it's not NOT helping. Is it making a gigantic improvement to my mood? No. Is my overall mood a bit better? Yes. Is it because of this? Who knows - but it's not hurting me, and if all I get is a placebo effect, then that's fine too. I feel like this will benefit me over time, and that's really all I care about.

I also love the fact that 20 years ago devices like this were only available by prescription and cost hundreds of dollars, but now you can pick one up on Amazon for under $50.

Oh - and the brightest setting? Yeah, don't stare at it or you'll have white spots in your eyes for a while. Don't ask how I know :P

I do recommend this - i believe in the long run, it will be very beneficial.

I'm very happy with my purchase of this lamp. I bought it around the beginning of January when the weather was predictably cloudy and overcast and it was really affecting my mood.
This light has been on ever since and I love using it in the morning because it certainly has made a big difference in my mood.
