Clea Montague and her brother Kody met Nolan Jasper and his daughter Tally (short for Tallulah) six years ago on stormy rainy night. It was the night Clea fell in love with Nolan.
Almost six years have gone by when we catch up with Nolan, Tally and Clea again. Now though, now feelings are beginning to change.
Nolan seemed to be doing well when Tally was younger, but as his little girl got older, Nolan retreated more into himself. His story is in no way positive; it is easy for readers to figure that out. Now however, Clea is reaching the end of her emotional rope. She has tried and tried to get Nolan to talk and maybe even see her feelings for him, but nothing is working and Clea is not going to give him much more time. Clea has been there but now he has to step up for Tally.
Tally Jasper is six-years old, full of vinegar and sass and owning it all! She never hides her feelings, she knows her dad is hurting and her view of the world is “what she wants, she is going to get!” What Tally wants is a mom and a dad like the other kids. Could she be a relationship fairy? We will find out.
I laughed, yes I cried at a few parts and I cheered Nolan on as he tries to become the person he hasn’t been in such a long time. There’s Always Someday was a sweet story, with wonderful grownup characters and one six year old whirlwind. I would not hesitate to recommend this story, one-click it and enjoy!
Oh Nolan! It was great seeing previous characters in this book and I think Tally stole the show. She was so cute and made Nolan and Clea’s characters even more loveable. Nolan redeemed himself after a not so rocky start and when he stepped up the guy went all put. I loved the lightness, fun and swooniness of this story. Harloe Rae did a fab job making me fall for the characters and their journey.
Oh my Harloe! 5 stars is not enough for this book!! Loved loved Nolan & Clea more than words can describe. Through in 2 big lugs of dogs and a sweet little girl who is determined to get her dad and neighbour to fall in love and get married. There were a couple of parts that felt too rushed but overall this is an amazing read.
Nolan doesn't know what's right in front of him till it's gone. Now he has to work hard to get it back. Clea has been in love with Nolan for 6 years, she also loves his little girl too. But she can't wait around for ever. A brilliantly written story with excellent characters and a happy ending guaranteed.
I did enjoy this book, Tallulah is definitely my fav character, her Sass is so funny. However I found that the writing style was a little muddled, sometimes it was too fast and then others it was so slow that I struggled with the want to continue. Overall a really lovely romance read.
What an amazingly sweet, swoony, and deliciously sexy story- full of unrequited love charms, neighborly attraction, and the right dash of healing and angst. A new favorite from Harloe Rae!
One thing I always love about Harloe’s writing is how she takes a trope and makes it something more- infuses it with an emotional gravitas and sincerity of heart that makes each of her stories feel unique and special. Clea and Nolan’s story begins with the friends to lovers/unrequited love and single parent tint, but this story quickly becomes nothing other than Clea and Nolan’s- a story steeped so deeply in the beating of their hearts that you can’t help but fall along with them.
Nolan is a really compelling hero- a man mired in the complexities of his guilt and grief while trying to find hope in the now, if not for himself than for his daughter Tally. His journey is about balancing his heart and hurt- finding the courage to reach for love, not just for Tally but for himself. And Clea is a delightful heroine- sweet, loving, optimistic, the light to reinvigorate a once broken man. You root for her and her bleeding heart.
I just adore Harloe's writing style- with a lyrical tint, she delivers so much emotional intensity wrapped in beautifully articulated, emotively consuming prose. Her swoony stories are by far my favorites- and this one brings all the sweet sincerity and authentic charm. With likable characters with complex histories and a formidable chemistry between them, we have a story of two people figuring out how to perfectly fall together, to be exactly what the other needs. To fight for the love they can have now. A different journey for each, but one so perfect for them together. It's adorable, it's sexy, and gives me all the happy butterfly feels. There’s Always Someday is a feel good romance that reminds us just how hard, and how easy, healing and falling in love can be- and just how beautiful it is when you find that someday.
