I love this book

I've always adored this book, since my first reading. My old copy got chewed up somehow, and I finally decided to replace it. This copy has different artwork (my old one had a line drawing of a two-headed rooster fighting (and winning) over a normal rooster. It was very subtle though. This cover is a reference to one of the characters, and is alright. It's a nice version, and I look forward to reading this classic dystopian novel, once again. Great book for young people (of all ages).

Poor Kindle edition

Wyndham is a sensational story teller and The Chrysalids is a sci-fi classic. Unfortunately, this Kindle edition is flawed and incomplete. It's poorly edited with may bad breaks and worse, it is missing the entire climax of the story. Buy the paperback!

I never imagined science fiction was anything other than battleships in the universe and Aliens. This is so creative and different - it made me a fan of the genre for life. Imagine a time in the distant future were people are fearful of others just because of a special talent. It reminds us that it's easy to unlearn all of the lessons of tolerance we are working so hard for. A must read for anyone who wants to be blown away by story and imagination.
