I’ll admit it. I am very picky when it comes to leadership books. Most feel like the content is forced in order to get the book written. This book is real. It is based in real, learned, experience. Craig IS a leader who has IT and he knows how to do more than say, “go and get it.” He knows how to teach us how to grow in IT.

I greatly enjoyed this book. I would recommend it but not for the normal reasons someone recommends these types of books. I crave knowledge and anything that I think can help me serve God and lead better. However after reading this book, it helped me to realize that books aren’t going to get me where I truly desire to be, a true heartfelt walk with God will. I know it seems too simple but that’s often the problem isn’t it. We forego the simple for the extravagant, after all there has to be more. If you’re reading this then just buy the book but realize that your time with God is what makes the real difference. It’s what will give you the IT!

I believed I was a good leader before reading this book. I believed that I may learn one or two helpful tools, but for the most part I felt like I was in good shape.

Boy was I wrong.

I didn’t realize how spiritually complacent I had gotten in my leading and learning and loving. This book is a MUST READ for all leaders. Groeschel has wrecked my life in the best way, giving me hundreds of things to think through and work on. This book is marked up and highlighted more than any other book I’ve read this year.

I highly recommend this.
