I am a huge fan of Karin Slaughter books but didn’t find this one to be one of her better novels. The storyline lost my interest more than once, but I still finished it.

Awful ..first book I've purchased and deleted.
At one point its mentioned a man had a mustache followed by 30 odd words describing said mustache..that's just one example off how the plot became lost in a mass of boring unnecessary pages . So no I still have no idea who killed Emily ! Gave up at 16%

After investing several hours reading this book, I thought I’d better try and finish it but had to give up. The constant use of extremely bad language was a real problem. The author seemed to be of the opinion that why use one swear word when several can do. I’m really surprised at the many 5 star reviews. I will not be reading anything else by this author.

So many inconsistencies-she places a call from the desk phone in the motel then rues the fact she didn’t adjust the location services on her iPhone; refers to “ bennies” an amphetamine as a drug for anxiety—did a machine write this book? Crappy plot, if there even is one; skips around -a whirling dervish of nothingness and stereotypes. I’m finishing the last few pages as a matter of principle. Where is Karin Slaughter?
