5.0 out of 5 starsTwists and turns, a real page turner
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on January 4, 2023
You think it’ll go one way, but it goes the other, and keeps you guessing until the VERY end. It has heat, action, comedy and as with all of J.T.’s books, extremely well written. Bravo!!! I loved it!!!

Very slow start… almost DNF. Then it got good and I loved the book up until right at the end. The ending was also a bit of a let down. Mixed reviews on it but loved “the loop” this book throws at you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Could of been good

I was really enjoying this book until the writer made 2 weird switches in the story . It's like she had more then one idea for a book and decided to join them together. Separately they may of been good but together they left way to much unfinished. It was empty and an unsatisfying read.

Was enjoying the story very much until the twist. It took away from the fictional story. I feel it then became an authors note and just ruined it for me. Also the last two sentences made me feel ill what mother would write something like that it should not even be thought about as well as putting it in words about a living child. Everyone went on about it being good and you should read it but the twist to the story was ruined for me. Not a fan. Seeing prior to this I enjoyed the stories from this author so far now I need to make sure I am careful as to what I select from this author.

I was in love with this book until the author pulls a total switch and has the heroine go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs and pulls you out of the story to find it was all in her head and she’s in a mental institution.

But wait - there’s more to make it even worse!!

The heroine is a writer, she wrote the story that you think is happening and love and then hate killing the heroine with ALS BUT that’s a story within the story because that story ends and BOOM James and Emmie are alive and they are married but she turns James into the hero of every single one of her books that she writes with the storylines of other books this author has wrote.

This was utter bull. Not happy with this turn of events at all.

Im glad I finished in in KU because I was about to actually purchase the paperback. Glad I saved my money.

This could have been so good with just finishing it her pregnancy in France and being happy with James and him quitting being an assassin but nooooo. She has to F it up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Books shouldn’t be like this.

Author makes a joke of the time you invested reading with the “it was all just a dream” type of events. Not once, but twice! I have not reviewed a single book, and I’m a daily reader. This book is less than a one star.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing

I typically love this author but this was a huge disappointment for me. Real life is crappy enough, I read to escape it and this book did not serve that purpose.

I hated this book. A BOOK within a book, within a book, within a book. Just No! I can't stand the couple at the end. The part stay the very end where she says her teenage daughter can hear her parents having sex just gross and it would never happen in my house!!!!! I disliked this book so much!

1.0 out of 5 stars The twist in this book throws the story 100% off

There's a twist in this book that results in the story up to that point as being nothing but the fantasy of a mentally and terminalky ill woman who accidentally killer her child. I read romances for the fantasy, not to have the fantasy wrecked by something as real as ALS and a dead child. Do not recommend this book at all if you want a HEA.

Seriously hate everything about this book. Tried 3 times to read it. Annoyingly predictable yet unrealistic. All her books seem to have a repetitive theme…. When you start skimming over the sex parts out of boredom it’s time to move on

1.0 out of 5 stars not the best

You think it’s going to be a good book and then you get to the back half and it’s hard to keep going. I finished it because I thought it was building up to something and was incredibly disappointed. The concept is cool. The execution? Not so much

When I am lying in my bed, after a long day, I like to read for a while. I do not want to be grossed out, I do not want to be confused, I do not want to be depressed.

This book was awful, as it left me both confused and depressed. I had started this book when it was released, was confused, put it aside. Finally last night I started it again - I was absolutely lost. Was not the type of book I am interested in reading.

I have enjoyed some this author's past releases. I did not like the Naz and Eva three part extravaganza. I will pay more for a longer story, but resent paying and waiting over 3 books. Doubtful I will read anything further from this author.
