I had not previously read books by this author before but certainly will do so again. Set in a small town in a beautiful ski and resort area of Sweden, an 18 year girl is reported missing after leaving a party during a winter's storm. A police officer from Stockholm who works on abuse cases, is staying at her sister's holiday home when this happens. She volunteers to help with the search and later becomes involved with the case. The characters are well developed, the plot is complex and there are many leads that go nowhere before the mystery is solved. It is not surprising that this author's previous books have been made into a TV series. This is a great start to a new series and made me want to read more.
