Other leadership books are not like this one. For starters, you won't acquire leadership perspectives from just one person. You'll hear from nine different leaders who are successful in the face of adversity. They are capable of doing so due to their capacity to lead themselves and others, as well as their perseverance and ability to demand the best of themselves.

Second, each chapter is written by a leader "in the trenches," whereas most leadership books are written by people who have been highly successful, have since retired, and are piecing together a roadmap from their recollections from a 9,000-foot vantage point. That's useful and powerful, but there's something special about obtaining knowledge and actual experiences from leaders on the ground who are implementing their career goals in real time—those who are currently on the leadership path and succeeding.

Kris Safarova's book, Nine Leaders in Action: Proven Strategies for Effective Leadership and Results, is a must-read for both aspiring and seasoned managers alike. Recommended.

Nine Leaders in Action: Proven Strategies For Effective Leadership and Results by Kris Safarova, Vincent Samat, Rishab Shah, Takahiro Ajimizu, Alice Qinhua Zhou, Duddy Abdullah, Aylwin Sim, Ismael Hernandez, and Richard Wong does a great job of giving real world examples of how leadership can be used effectively to create the best work environment and generate the best results. The chapters are broken up by topics, such as communication and work environment, but also focus on the different authors and their positions on their career paths and what they have accomplished so far. The authors come from different fields and from different points in life, so we get views of experienced workers, those who are just getting into leadership roles, and those who have just started their careers. Because of this, I think there are many people who would benefit from this read and enjoy all that it offers.

When I bought this book, I was expecting a book on optimizing management, but when I read it, I was surprised to see this is a book about dealing with the realities of life and business, and tips on how to optimize the two. For example, chapter three discusses the realities of how to change your perspective to gather the most you can out of meetings, that at first can seem unexciting, but by changing your perspective and approach, you can find ways to get the most out of these meetings.

I also love the quality of life focus and the balancing between finding your work engaging, but the emphasis that obsessive does not mean you disregard your values.

This was a practical book on business, and I was so happy to see the book also address how to live a fulfilling life.

Featuring stories, anecdotes and advice from 9 successful business leaders in action right now, so the advice they give you is timely and effective. The advice deals with how to be a better leader, how to build your teams how to improve yourself and mentor others and how to lead effectively in order to get the most out of your people and productivity. I found the book to be a good source of knowledge and ideas and believe that most if not all leaders and aspiring leaders will be able to find the value in it.

Very different from other leadership books I've read. The title says it all--Nine Leaders in Action. This book isn't about leaders who are already 'successful', but about nine leaders who are still in the process of being 'successful'. I found this very relatable especially because a majority of us are still in the same stage, and being able to read these stories from people who are also in the same stage as us, we can easily understand and relate to their struggles, their insights and become more motivated as well.

"Nine Leaders in Action" is an excellent book written by nine different leaders, all of whom are on their journey to the top of their careers. These nine leaders explained to us how they do it to succeed and what tools they use to achieve their goals.
The most interesting thing about this book is that it has many authors, so it is very interesting to see the perspective of each one and how each one faces their problems/difficulties.
As the preface says, this is really a different book from all leadership books readers have seen before, and that’s the main reason why I am recommending it.
