I really wanted to like this book but the author’s story about an out of body experience and her baby drowning in her womb raises a lot of questions which kind of have me thinking she made up some of these stories. She said she was not breathing and her husband called the hospital? But the hospital was full due to Covid so they could not take her? Umm one would think the husband would have called 911? Then she claimed she had a feeling that something was wrong with her baby but when she called her doctor the doctor was with family. Okay so her mom took her to the hospital and it turned out her baby was drowning? Babies don’t drown in wombs. I even googled it and can’t find any case of a baby drowning inside the womb. A baby can swallow a fluid during birthing process but babies don’t drown in the womb. The stories just don’t add up. Then she was homeless? Why wasn’t she with her mom but the mom was available to drive her to the hospital. This is my issues with self help books they a full of questionable claims that you just have to take the author’s word for it but common sense will tell you it’s a lie. Stories and tips they offer sounds good but in reality it’s just building fantasies in your mind. Feels good while reading it but in reality you end up with a pipe dream. The rest of the book sounds good but I will have to return because the claims of the author personal stories just don’t add up which makes me doubt everything I read.

I didn't enjoy this book too much.
The author starts it off as this big discovery she made of the divine being within when she supposedly stopped breathing or died. I'm still trying to figure this out if it was metaphor or legit as she said her husband called the hospital mid Covid but why didn't he call 911? She made this big deal about this on IG as well.
Uh girlfriend, even the Wiccans knew of the divine within. This is something Silver Raven Wolf taught us in Teen Witch 20+ years ago lol. That we are all little Gods and Goddesses.
The only thing I got from this book was to take it back to basics and honor the inner divine.
This book can be good to start on some shadow work and healing if you are starting off. It's very much pushed for a younger audience with the BFF crap and hashtags. Maybe this is what the author was going for. I expected more from someone with an indigenous background and supposedly an advanced spiritual incline how she portrays on IG with her posts and pics. I guess anyone can do that too with a little creativity and support.

2 stars because I think this book could be helpful to people who are beginning their journey and hearing this info for the first time. I lost interest with the numerous references to BBIPOC and LGBTQ, I couldnt read a part without the author mentioning these titles. Be who you are but let's not get absorbed by labels- we are MUCH more than that. I read until part 2 and put it down. I'd return if i could.

Product selection to send was damaged - torn pages on the top and poor packaging. No protection for books… books came in just a box. Its a shame because the books design is lovely and this damage takes a lot from the experience.
