I recently purchased the 4-Bike Carrier Hitch Mounted Bicycle Carrier Rack and have been extremely disappointed with its performance. The 140 LBS weight capacity is not sufficient to hold four bikes as advertised. Additionally, the holding gaps between the bikes are far too close, making it nearly impossible to place four bikes on the rack without them touching and causing damage.

I have been disappointed with the lack of consideration for the weight and size of the bikes in the design of this rack. I would not recommend this product to anyone who is looking to transport four bikes safely and securely. The product is falsely advertised and does not meet the needs of the customer.

You must do the preliminary work of installing the bracket on the car and the thick type. Otherwise, it will not support the weight and will bend. Placing four bicycles can be a titanic task. The coupling gaps are short in distance and it can be difficult to line up all four. You must place one to the right and one to the left twice. Especially if your bikes are mountain bikes. Check carefully if the support will be able to resist the 4 bicycles. It is a fixed support without cushioning, so going through irregular paths can be quite an odyssey. It is a good support, but I think it lacks some cushioning to be sure that no bike will collapse when going through a bump. For the moment, no problem.

This bicycle hitch works fine if you only have a couple of bikes.
At max weight supported being 140lbs of weight, forget about even trying to put 4 adult mountain bikes on, chances are that would be way more weight than 140 lbs, plus they would be incredibly crammed. May be some super light road bikes would work ok?
Kids bikes would be of course alright as well.

This FieryRed bicycle rack is made of sturdy square steel tubing and is simple to assemble. This bike rack can hold up to four bikes. Because of its heavy-duty construction, the rack is quite strong. The rest, however, is high-quality, functional, and extremely flexible, with a boom that can be tilted down for easy removal and opening of the car's rear door. When not in use, it can also be folded up. To securely hold heavy bikes, the bike rack structure includes plastic cradles and polyester tapes.

These plastic cradles, however, are not adjustable. Only bikes loaded into the cradle can be securely locked. Furthermore, two of my four bikes have small front triangle frames that not only do not fit on this bike rack but also do not fit the cradle. Furthermore, these bike top tube mounts are made of plastic, and I'm not sure how long they'll last.

Overall, it is the best value for money sturdy bike rack. Few other racks can hold four bikes at once.
