This one was definitely better than book 5... And I assume there will be a 7th book with this ending?

The intrigue was more complex and developed than in the previous books, and while I had my suspicions about the culprit, I still was not sure until the end. The focus is more on the serial killer, their sick game, and the investigation to find them, than on the supernatural politics, which was also a nice change of pace and vibe, because while I enjoy politics in books, it was starting to get a little repetitive.

Once again though, I am a little disappointed by the romance development in this series. We see that Emma and Lukas have a strong relationship and that they are serious, it still seems as thgouh every important development happened off page or in between the books. So while I enjoy their moments together and their steady support for each other, I would have liked to witness more of the building of this bond, like what we saw in the first two books.

I also want to congratulate Emma for dying only once in this book, which is an improvement from the previous books. 😅

This one is a nail biter, twisting more than you can count. Each book gets better and the people more real and important as series continues. The final twist is shocking. I really like Emma & her Lord, the dynamics are wicked fun. I highly recommend this writer & her wonderful stories.

I like this series. Is it my absolute favorite? Not really but it does have some good twists and turns in the plot. This book also leaves on a cliffhanger making me wonder if I missed an additional clue in the book. Guess I’ll find out when I read the next in the series :)
