5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful read!

Who doesn't want to stumble (literally) onto a spaceship? Hang with friends, save the world and make a few galactic connections? This book was a fun, snappy ride from start to finish. I really enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Guffawing levels of entertainment

That it's sci-fi (not hard sci-fi) is pretty obvious from chapter one.

The insanely snarky, cynical, sarcastic AI gave me cramps from laughing so hard.
Do I want a continuation?
Oh yes, please, with sugar and sprinkles on top.
It's zany on a level of Looney Tunes meets Doctor Who, with a nice sprinkle of Encounter of the Third Kind.
Fun, entertaining, definitely calling for more.
Are the protagonists relatable? Yes.
Do they do some pretty dumb stuff at times? Hell, yeah.

Targeted at teenagers, funny but at the same time quite deep story of aliens attacking Earth and a trio of young people trying to stop the invasion.

I enjoyed it a lot.

As always Mr. Taylor has delivered. It is a throughly enjoyable read, I love the way he presents some of the subtle science behind some of the current events and some of the ramifications that even I did not think about. Just amazing. Wonder how this book will read in a decade or so….. textbook or still fiction 🤔

4.0 out of 5 stars Teenagers find invisible spaceship and chaos ensues

This is the 6th of his books in a row I have read, and this one is just as entertaining.
Like all his books, great snappy dialog, absolutely laden down with contemporary nerd culture - it would be helpful if you knew the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars. Funny. And like his other books, all the best lines are delivered by an artificial intelligence. Its all very wholesome stuff, no sex or real violence, would make an excellent teen young adult selection, which doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it as an ancient adult.

He is recycling his ideas a lot - the use of AIs, machines that can semi-magically make whatever you want, but the stories move along, the dialog is funny, the characters are likable, I enjoyed reading it.

Lots of laughs in the interactions of the characters, which in no way interferred with the seriousness of the situation the heroes face. Fun SciFi. I'd love to see a sequel. The author's faith in CNN is ironically clueless but we all have our blind spots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough

Dennis Taylor is my newest favorite science fiction author; it started with the "We Are Legion ... We Are Bob" series, and now I can't wait to get started on the next novel! The movie and TV references, and the fact that EVERY protagonist lives on and for coffee, make the nerd in me feel like I have just come home! Thank you, Kindle Unlimited, for giving us access to this very refreshing, highly engaging assortment of book!

Nichtsdestotrotz lesenswert!

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, not life-changing but would recommend to fans

To be clear, Taylor hooked me on his Bobiverse series. When he has a new release, I drop whatever I'm reading and order his. Same with Roadkill. It was great - class Taylor. Fun, fast-paced, witty, cheesy at times but also that's what I love about him. The story is creative and you'll fly through it. It's depth doesnt compare to the Bob books, and I don't think it's on Outland's level either, but I liked it. If you like the author, then it's worth the read.

Read through in a couple of days. Easy. Good fast paced action with snarky conversations. Dreadful cover though. Really dreadful cover.
