This book is a tense and gripping ride. I'm actually reading the second one of the serie and it is really hard to stop reading when there is no pause to the action. Thumbs up to the author!

I immediately realized that this is a bad, cheap copy-paste of Resident Evil. The language made me cringe from the first pages. The vocabulary is really tiresome and leaves the feeling of a rough ride over a bumpy, gravel road. It is all right for a few sentences, and then a coarse language returns.

When I write a review I try to keep in mind that a person labored over this book. I try to respect that. So a negative review is difficult to write.
I love the genre. I didn't like this book. Descriptions used banal, tired, threadbare words that evoke the impression that the writer is rushing through the story without trying to really feel anything. I want to go on a journey with, and inside the heads of the principle characters. I want to feel what they are feeling. What do they feel, when they are afraid, angry, exhausted, surprised? What does the landscape they pass through look like? How has it changed? If I'm going to look through the protagonist's eyes- then make them into windows. Stop using clichés to describe things. What does it mean when a zombie is like "shamu". Do you mean fat, like a whale? Ive sailed near orcas. They embody grace and power.
Could not finish it. Poor fare, no substance.

While I'm not a zombie lover, it started out as a survivalist type of story with a good hook at the beginning, but quickly deteriorated to a constant occurrence of negative events. So, apparently the only redeeming factor in this story is for those that LOVE zombies! I thought I could put up with it to find out how the story ended but I couldn't make it past chapter 19. It was one negative after another, nothing positive to entice me to continue reading past this point. The 2 main characters were especially interesting, but there was no positive spin to speak of to keep a non-zombie lover occupied.

I read a lot of kindle books and don't do as many reviews as I should but I have to put in my 2 cents here. First off the book seems be written by a young lad fresh into puberty, as one of the main characters is of course a stripper who can not keep her cloths on. The sexual assault she just shrugs off, the military training and weapon and vehicle info the writer didn't look into. If that stuff is your thing this books for you.

Same old drivel as every other recent apocalypse book. Ex military bada$$, finds the hidden stash of weapons in the back of a gun store and rescues the helpless girl. Applauds her ability to keep her mouth shut while the man figures everything out. He can take out several men at a time that have the drop on him with his gun in his pants.

Author kept teaching us lingo that clearly no one gave a sh about. This led to a break in the flow of the story and made shi laughable and annoying. Would NOT recommend! Stick to other authors this guy tries to play up the military aspect of his character too much.
