The second book in the ACOTAR series follows Feyre as she navigates through intense PTSD after the events of the first book.

I really appreciate her mental turmoil, as it's much more realistic to what's been written in so many other books. IMO, this makes Feyre so much more believable and endearing to the reader. I also appreciate the fact that she stands up for herself when things get really bad.

This book is better than the first in the series, definitely grittier (in a good way). I appreciate that Maas shines a light on topics such as male sexual abuse, abusive relationships, and dealing with intense mental issues.

Again, this is recommended for an older audience as some scenes may not be suitable for young YA readers.
