This was an upgrade for an old Dell 1545 laptop, as the original hard desk was failing.
Pros:
- Small and half weight of my original hard desk.
- Extremely quiet.
Cons:
- Old laptops has a bigger compartment for the hard desk because older desks were a bit thicker than newer ones (Old Seagate desk=9 mm, Western digital blue= 7.5 mm thickness). This caused the new WD to sag a bit and not to latch onto the SATA connector. I wish they would have provided an adapter that will bring the thickness of their hard desk to 9 mm.
- If you are used to the speed of SSD’s you will find this mechanical drive a bit slow and sluggish, but I was expecting that.
